Brighton 5 Milford 0

This game feature a young fiesty Milford Team that was looking to build off of their strong performances against last year's squad.

The Bulldogs came out in their white uniforms looking to knock out Milford in an early season conference matchup.

Brad Murphy opened the scoring at 38:25 and a great through ball from John Palmer. Brad received it at the 18 and sprinted past two defenders to net the goal.

At the 32:35 mark a reversal of the previous goal came when Brad Murphy fed a ball to a streaking John Palmer who calmly put it in the back of the net.

In what seeemed like an instance later, it was actually at the 31:40 mark Murphy to Palmer hooked up on an identical goal scoring opportunity that put the Bulldogs up 3 nil with more than 30 minutes left in the first half.

Deepak Shrivaman changed the game tendencies to have the team play more possesion and work more against the Mavericks to sharpen and hone the skills.

Jon Heidt, of Milford, made some outstanding saves to keep it close the rest of the half.

The second half Sophomore standout Kenny Simon finally started to come to life for the Varsity team. Using his superior ball handling skills he was able to beat several defenders and score an unassisted goal about 3 minutes into the second half.

Kenny then finished the scoring a little later on a picture perfect corner kick from Sean Campeau.

The crowd featured several visitors from out of town and several of the loyal local supporters.
